John Henry Twachtman

(August 4, 1853 – August 8, 1902)

Landscape, Branchville
Painted c. 1888, it is Twachtman's largest known work measuring an imposing 152.4 cm × 203.2 cm (60 in × 80 in). It was painted in front of the home of his friend J. Alden Weir, currently a museum and National Park, located in Ridgefield, CT.
